How can you resist doing something so fun?

I have just lately been thinking how much has happened this year in my life. I went to Cali with Jordan and my mom and had an awesome time with them and my soccer team. Experienced my first High School sport which was quite an adventure. Got my own room for the first time in my life. But I was thinking most of all about the amazing new people that I have met and friends that I already had that I got to know better. How they have influenced my life and made me a better person. And then others that I was able to influence and share the gospel with. It has been great being able to be a friend with all these great people God has put in my life.

Friends

I have just realized lately that I have great friends in my life. Those who support me in what I do and make me be a better person. Sometimes I don't really realize this until they are taken out of my life for a time. I don't think a lot of us really appreiciate the great people in our lives. I know that I am not always as thankful as I should be for the people God has put into my life. I hope God makes me as good a friend as all the friends I have in my life.

I was looking through my pictures and just had to put this one on here cause Jack is so cute!!

This morning I went to MHS and met with some other Christians and we prayed for our upcoming President. I think a lot of us are quit expectant with this election. Most of our prayers were that God would guide the steps of the upcoming president and that his will would be done. My soccer team is participating in Districts right now and we are trying to make it to State. I'm looking forward to the Holidays and more cold weather!!

As you may see it says I'm Lori my mom tried to start a blog and somehow it didn't work right so some of here stuff went onto mine. I'll fix it as soon as possibly but for right now I'll be Lori : )

During a game two weeks ago I re hurt my hamstring that I pulled last March. So the next day I got set up for physical therapy and have been going twice a week. I missed two games and in the process was a: cheerleader, inhaler finder, bench warmer, and first aid helper. It was a totally new perspective on the game I had fun but I was stilled bummed that I didn't get to play. Thursday I played half of the game and then came out with my leg hurting. It has been really hard for me not to be playing and just watched but I learned to focus more on Christ for my happiness. I have made some really good friends on the team and try to be a witness to those around me who aren't saved.

Game in Lakewood

Yesterday I went to a high school soccer game in Lakewood. The ride there was supposed to be about an hour long but there was a crash so we got held up for a while. We played our game after the JV team had played theirs. The Lakewood team was pretty good we were tied the whole entire game which is 80 min. After that we had to go into OT (overtime) which consists of two five min. halves at the end of both halves there was still not a score. So we had to go into a shoot out which is when each team picks out 5 players to shoot on the goalie. We ended up losing in the shoot out we were pretty bummed we just know we have to go out and work harder at practice. After the game we went to Safeway to get dinner then we headed home. During the game the ball got kicked at my hand and it bent 1/3 of my thumbnail backwards, so my coach had to push it back into position it was JUST GREAT. lol What I thought was really neat though was that our team prayed twice during the game. We have a few people on our team that go to church but the rest don't really know anything about the Lord. I just hope that I get some more opportunities to witness to some of them. I left my house at 2 o'clock and got home at 10:30. So far it has been a great experience!!

- First High School Soccer Game -

Today I had my first high school soccer game. I scored a goal and we ended up winning. Since I have started my high school soccer I have been trying to get Jordan to do cross-country. But she kept saying no. Then the coach called her because he heard she had been running and she ended up going the next day. I'm so glad she is doing I think she'll end up having a lot of fun!! School is going pretty good we are still getting in the swing of things though. I am doing my church choir with Jordan and Zach I think it will be fun. I am so happy we got some hot weather before Fall.

The start of my blog

Today I went to my High School soccer practice. At practice it poured cats and dogs and we all got just soaked but because it rained we got to practice slide tackling. I found out that I made the Varsity team I'm so excited for our season to start. I'm so sad that summer is coming to an end and that school is starting up again. But I'm looking forward to the weeks ahead.
